November 2009Measure, Map & Manage

Our theme for November summarizes how our industry is now Measuring and sensing almost everything and then Mapping to graphical representations to developing strategies for Managing from anywhere anytime. To make this happen we need to lower the cost of sensors and their installation and increase their reach, improve our presentation models while looking to the cloud for better low cost management.

Jane and I are California bound to be part of OpsManage'09 to learn how to Empower our Sustainable.  I am part of a  Facilities Management Forum. This forum shows how Invensys helps solve challenges associated with green buildings, sustainability, carbon emissions, regulatory compliance and energy management initiatives that drive demand for new facilities management technologies. I sense more of these industry crossing events in our future and look forward to being part of them.
